Garden Party at the Good Shepherd Mission 2017

There was much relief when the weather cleared by 2.00 p.m. on Saturday 15th July to allow the Good Shepherd Mission to host a very successful Garden Party.

It was well attended and visitors were able to enjoy a variety of games and activities – not least the “Posh Tea” which were delicious.

As well as the ever popular raffle …..

….. and tombola,

the various stalls were all well stocked …..

….. and many coconuts were won at the traditional coconut shy.

In addition to all this children from Pinfold County Primary School were there to perform for us.

Various solo artists and a talented dance group entertained spectators of all generations!

The highlight of the show was a rendition of “Yellow Submarine” which had everyone clapping and singing along with the chorus.

Not only was this amazing event great fun, with opportunities to catch up with friends and neighbours, but it also raised the marvellous sum of £1102.15 for The Good Shepherd Mission.

So, well done and thank you

to the organisers, and all the helpers,

who worked so hard to make this event such a success,

to the children and staff from Pinfold School

and

to all those who came along and joined in,

without whom it could not have happened.
