On Saturday 14th July the Good Shepherd Mission held their Garden Party with Posh Teas. The day was sunny and very hot and the whole event was a great success.
The Posh Teas were the star attraction – all were able to sit outside and enjoy everything that was going on.
The coconut shy was a great “hit”! It was kept busy with boys, girls and their parents trying their hand.
The cake stall sold out very quickly (Who doesn’t like a cake or two!?!)
The plant stall …..
….. and Tombola were very busy.
The ice creams were much appreciated in the hot weather (most of us wanted an ice-cream to cool us down, or a soft drink!) …..
….. and the Bric a Brac and Book stall did a steady trade.
Some children from Pinfold County Primary School entertained everyone with dancing from Night Fever (which included the new crazy dance, The Floss!) …..
….. they really know how to move! Everyone enjoyed watching their entertainment.
Rev Eileen thanked the children and Ms Gillison the Head Teacher for their support to the Good Shepherd event, she also wished Ms Gillison a happy retirement and presented her with a card and gift from everyone at the Mission.
This was followed by the draw for the raffle prizes.
Thank you to everyone who supported us, those who generously gave items for the stalls, to Cynthia who organised the posh teas, and everyone who worked before, during and after the event. Thank you we could not have done it without you.
Thank you too
to Mary (and Joan)
for this report
for the photos.
Well done everybody!
