The Lighthouse @ St Marks Church Scarisbrick is an exciting project which will provide additional facilities to the Scarisbrick community around St Marks.

It will provide features lacking in the present building: level access, disabled toilet and baby changing facilities as well as refreshment and meeting areas.

This new build is an annexe joined onto the existing church building and will have direct access from it.  It will provide a welcoming, bright entrance, which is child and disabled friendly but can be used independently of the church building.  It is expected that this will enable new church and community activities to take place which the existing building does not adequately cater for.

The project will cost in the order of £200,000 and it is hoped
to start ground works in the spring of 2019.

We already have significant funds of our own and have been
awarded a number of grants to help close the gap:

£30,000           Lancashire Environmental Fund

£3,500             Rank Pebbles

£1,000             Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund

£500                West Lancashire Borough Council Community Chest

£2,500  The Laing Family Trusts

£500       The Charles And Edna Broadhurst Charitable Trust

Our own church fundraising:  £1500

Our Members giving:   £8000

We are extremely grateful to all of the above for
their generous support.
Thank you all!
