Vicar’s Newsletter – April 2018

Dear Friends,

The bible tells us that ‘ God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life’ Johns Gospel Chapter 3 verse 16.

This Easter as we come to the end of our Lenten journey, we remember in depth once again of what Jesus did for us. In this well know verse of the bible we are reminded what it is we are celebrating – and that is God’s love shown to us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.

I found this poem written by Deborah Ann Belka written in 2016 where she succinctly tells us again what Jesus does for each one of us who turns to him to be Lord of their life and at the end she asks us a question, what will your answer be?

He forgives the unforgivable

He loves the undesirable

He redeems the unjust

He atones the corrupt.

He justifies the wicked

He paid for the crooked.

He pities the helpless

He delivers the hopeless

He condemns not a one

He pardons all evil done.

Jesus exchanged His life for ours

So won’t you today please give him yours?

Because this is Jesus as the bible says the pure lamb, the sinless one, who calls to you.

Alleluia he is Risen,

He is Risen indeed Alleluia
